Moonspell: Far From God Debuts at No. 3 on the Portuguese Sales Chart

Far From God has been hailed by the band as one of the most important albums in Moonspell’s career—if not the most important—and it seems that both fans and the national and international press agree.

Released on July 3, the album debuted at an impressive No. 3 on the Portuguese National Sales Chart and achieved equally notable results across Europe, entering several key charts, including Germany (#27) and Austria (#19), as well as the Swiss and French Rock & Metal charts.



The band has just announced a North American tour as special guests of British extreme metal icons Cradle of Filth, taking place between September and October.

The summer season has already been a major success, with Moonspell performing at some of Europe’s most renowned festivals, including WGT, Graspop and Castle Party, alongside a series of Portuguese appearances in Barreiro, Porto de Mós and Festival F.

Looking ahead to 2027, the band will embark on a European headline tour between March and April, while also beginning work on the follow-up to Far From God, among other projects to be announced.
