SEAN RILEY AND THE SLOWRIDERS RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “GREETINGS” SINGLE

SEAN RILEY & THE SLOWRIDERS feature the music video for their latest single “Greetings”, which that follows “Dili”, just weeks after having released a new studio album, self-titled, which had direct entry to the 4th position of the Portuguese TOP sales.

The video, created, produced and directed by Mike Ghost reflects the warm and loose environment that the theme illustrates.

A few years ago, the group embarked on a journey through the feelings that unites them to create music and published three albums in less than 4 years. SEAN RILEY & THE SLOWRIDERS played on almost every stage from North to South, edited internationally and presented their music live on countless times.

After the promoting tour for the last record, fate decreed that all the band members dedicated their time to other projects, until they missed what they felt when they were together.
From then and until the phone rang and started to emerge, erratically, songwriting sessions on long weekends and weeks of communion, it was only a split second.

What would be the next record was set in half a dozen of these sessions. It was fast, intuitive and above all, free from any preconceived idea. It needed to be, the music once more speaked louder, so everything made sense to explore and follow the instinct to pace the maximum Beat/Buddhist “first thought, best thought”.

The fourth album, and the first of a new cycle – closed the Farewell trilogy, Only Time Will Tell, It’s Been a Long Night – was born of this need to communicate notes and feelings in the way that SEAN RILEY & THE SLOWRIDERS do. It’s a dive into the unknown, but with feet firmly on solid ground.

In a way, this album is the most direct – from the creation’s point of view – a tribute to the booster spirit of the first recordings. On the other hand, never any SEAN RILEY & THE SLOWRIDERS’ album was so conceptual, following new paths without ever losing sight of the essence of the band.

And if three years are considerably sabbatical, the notion of time is always based on a subjective perspective. And this is a band that never belonged to a time. Neither his nor any other.
