MIGUEL ANGELO HAS A NEW SINGLE: A CANÇÃO
“A Canção” means “The Song” in Portuguese. And what is the song’s role nowadays? Is the song still relevant in Dylan’s Nobel Era?
What songs are we missing these days? Which anti-system progressive references can we stil consider revolutionary? Which books do we still find inspiring?
A CANÇÃO by Miguel Angelo is just another song. It talks about utopia and the resulting disappointments of growing up. It invites you to dance upon literature. Hermann Hesse, Cervantes, Arthur Rimbaud, Oscar Wilde and Henry Thoreau are all name dropped.
The video, which was filmed at the oldest library in Lisbon, was directed by Edgar Keats and stars the poetic agitator Leo Leonel on a dandy dance.
